Publishing.  Publishing with SinoAmerican Books requires a simple written or email agreement by the author to sell his or her book through both the SinoAmerican Books website and book sellers (i.e., Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Ingram Advance).  The listed price of a book will be determined by mutual agreement between the author and Publisher after considering estimated costs and the average discount required by external book sellers.  Royalties are paid at the rate of 50% of a book’s profit (which will vary depending of the source of the sale).  Authors will be charged for the ISBN number, printing, and ancillary expenditures (if any) at cost to the Publisher.  Except under special circumstances (see below), authors will not be charged for the editing or reviewing of manuscripts or for their preparation for printing.

Prospective authors should contact the Publisher by email (publisher@sinoamericanbooks.com) before submitting a manuscript.  All manuscripts tentatively accepted for publication are subject to reviewing and editing.  The Publisher may require that technical manuscripts be reviewed by a paid expert (after consultation with the author).  Please do not submit manuscripts that you do not wish to be evaluated for content, formatting, and language.  All suggested changes are open to negotiation between the author and Publisher, though the Publisher retains the right to reject at any stage of publishing a manuscript that does not meet SinoAmerican Book standards.

Selling.  Authors of relevant books published elsewhere may present their books for sale on the SinoAmerican Books website.  The books must be sold through Amazon or another book seller (or publisher) that provides monitored links to their purchasing site.  A small commission (usually 10% or less) is paid by the book seller or publisher to SinoAmerican Books for purchases that originate at this site.
